If you’re planning to visit the Brooklyn Bridge (see pic 8), do not miss out on this luxurious food hall close by called @tinbuilding by Jean-Georges. When I entered this place, I was awestruck. Everywhere I looked I was spoilt for choice with the sheer number of interesting dining options. It had a patisserie, a wine bar, over 10 different restaurants including sushi, Chinese, an abcV, French, Italian, a taqueria, a dosa and crepes place and many more! It was also filled with shelves of gourmet snacks and drinks, some of which I hadn’t seen anywhere else in New York! There was also this beautiful flower shop and the freshest produce section adding even more splendour to this space but what I liked best here other than the food variety was the impressive design. The restaurants had an open layout giving this space a more interactive feel, there were these gorgeous areas with ceiling plants where one could sit and eat the snacks, sandwiches, gelatos and other treats they picked up if they did not want to sit in a particular restaurant. The whole space was fully airconditioned which really helped during a hot New York summer day. I was so impressed by the quality and beauty of this space, New York never ceases to amaze me!

When in a new city, you must visit some grocery stores if possible to try the local snacks and drinks, you never know what you may find! Combine that with some takeaway from restaurants you wish to try but have no energy after a full day of sightseeing and what you have is what we like to call a “Room Picnic”. In this case in NYC while visiting the World Trade Centre area, we explored a Duane Reade and a @wholefoods branch close by. The @smorgasburg WTC food market was also being held that day, so we picked up a few goodies from there as well. We came back to our room, put on our favourite show and had a blast gorging on all the treats! Some of our favourites were the parm crisps, extra toasty @cheezit s, the @drinkpoppi soda with prebiotics, the tiramisu from Whole Foods and the arancini from Smorgasburg. I highly recommend you try this the next time you are in a new city!

I don’t need to visit Dubai to try this viral sensation! @ahlandates has brought this decadent treat to Mumbai. The Dubai Knafeh Pistachio Chocolate was out of this world! The chocolate quality was impeccable, the pistachio cream was rich and smooth and the knafeh was crunchy,what a great combination! Just scrumptious!

@allanticovinaionyc is one of the most famous sandwich shops in all of Italy and I am so glad that they brought their signature focaccia sandwiches to New York because oh my god they are heavenly! I had been wanting to try these sandwiches ever since I saw Insider Food’s video on Youtube about Florence’s most Legendry Street Eat. They bring freshly baked focaccia right out of the oven to make your sandwiches and have a range of delectable fillings. We always went for the “La Broadway” sandwich which had pistachio cream, stracciatella, sun dried tomato, spicy zucchini, arugula and we got an add on of the spicy eggplant in it as well. Each bite of this sandwich was glorious with the flavours creating a perfect symphony in your mouth and the fresh warm bread was truly spectacular. This sandwich made our New York vacation even more memorable!
