In the hundreds of suggested Instagram posts and reels I saw in a day relating to Dubai, one place popped up that seemed really interesting. Almost everyone was raving about this stunning boulevard which attracted me further to visit this place. The Ain Dubai Boulevard is one of Dubai's latest attractions, with the approx two hundred and fifty meters tall Observational Wheel being the central focal point. Having visited Dubai countless times, I thought it would be fun to do some touristy things as I usually just visit malls to chill, shop and dine on my trips there. So one evening my husband and I took a cab towards this island. The taxi driver asked me where to drop us off - I just told him near the "giant wheel" and he understood immediately. When we got out of the cab at seven pm, there was not a soul in sight and for a second I felt a bit lost like maybe I'd come to the wrong location or that the area was closed for the day. However as we walked up towards the wheel, I could spot a few people and I saw in the distance an observation deck. I walked towards this deck and when I looked around, I had a "whoah!" moment.
On one side was this gorgeous promenade with pitch-black gulf waters reflecting the blinding lights of Palm Jumeriah and JBR. The most beautiful skyline and evening view was created by these buildings and skyscrapers.
On the other was the massive Observational Wheel with a mesmerizing light display. A Cool gulf breeze was blowing making the atmosphere even more welcoming. We walked a bit along this promenade taking striking pictures of this wheel, and on the other side enjoying the views of the magnificent skyline created by the glittery buildings on Palm Jumeirah. Small food stalls and seating areas were dotted along the promenade and there I could see many more people enjoying themselves. Personally, I didn't feel like going on the wheel but that is something you can do when you visit there for some great aerial views of Dubai and the gulf. It really was quite serene walking along this promenade and just taking in the sights and sounds around me.
Once I had my fill of photos and views, I walked a little towards the other side to get to this one-of-a-kind Starbucks that I had seen on Instagram. It stands out because the interiors are marine-themed, unlike any other Starbucks. It was quite beautifully designed and truly unique.
I then walked along the Ain Boulevard as famously seen on Instagram, with its tree-like avant-garde installations lit up with beautiful multicolored lights along the path. There were some interesting restaurants and stores along this boulevard for one to enjoy a great evening dinner or drinks.
However as I wanted to explore further I walked ahead to reach the end of the island. As seen on google maps there was a bridge connecting the island with the main JBR area. In hopes of exploring that area as well, I walked along this stunning bridge whilst getting some more beautiful evening views.
We then reached the other side and walked along the Marina beach to get to an area where there were a lot of dining and shopping options, just next to the beach. In the distance, we could see the mesmerizing Bluewaters island with the lights of the wheel twinkling. After exploring a bit and weighing our options, we decided to eat dinner in this area.
Although there were many new restaurants to try, the moment I spotted Eataly, I was like I need to eat here again. After my superb visit to Eataly at Dubai Mall (read the entire post here) I was craving for more Italian tomato-ey treats. We walked in and there was a thirty-minute wait as we had no reservation but I patiently waited just to experience this place again. When we finally sat down we ordered their Bufalina pizza and their signature pasta Spaghetto Eataly. Both the dishes were sensationally rich in tomato flavor and we were happy to have chosen this place again to dine. The atmosphere was lovely with the place brimming with people enjoying their evening and a beautiful outdoor section facing the beach for those who wished to dine alfresco.
With our tummies full of great food and our hearts full of memorable experiences, we headed back to our hotel. At the end of this experience, I was really happy that I took the chance and visited this wonderful new place.
