Business Class Lounge Review - CSMIA - Mumbai International Airport - Adani Lounge West & East Wing

The Terminal 2 Airport of Mumbai is absolutely awe-inspiring. It's stunningly designed, well thought out and extremely clean. Apart from the decor being extremely impressive, there are ample clean bathrooms, a huge choice of dining options and many seating and shopping areas to pass your time. So at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Mumbai, there are mostly no separate lounges based on brands of airlines. There are Adani Lounges West Wing and East Wing which most airlines use. As per my past experiences of flying business class from Mumbai Airport Terminal 2, am giving my review on the same. There is a separate area for security checks for first and business-class passengers which one clears in less than 2 minutes as it is usually almost empty. Same with the immigration which also usually has separate lines for first and business class. This is a great convenience, especially during nighttime flights when the rush and lines at the airport increase a lot.

So depending upon the airline you are traveling with, you will either be given access to the Adani West or the East Wing Lounge. Both the lounges are pretty similar according to me in their range of offerings. At the entrance, you are greeted by a staff member and warmly welcomed to the lounge. Your lounge access pass is collected (which was given to you at the check-in counter) and your boarding pass is checked. After which you enter the lounge.

Upon entering the first thing you notice is the sheer elegance of these lounges. The decor is classy with marble flooring and hues of brown, ochre and white.

Some walls are dotted with plants to give a natural, serene relaxing vibe. The lounges have avant-garde white see-through floor-to-ceiling separators dividing the huge lounge into sections to give people a feeling of privacy.

From the windows, especially during the daytime, you can see the airport tarmac with various flights parked etc. There is also a free fifteen-minute foot massage usually offered at these lounges. (on some days/times it is shut) You are supposed to make an advance appointment with your boarding pass details which they note down. It would make sense to make this appointment as soon as you enter the lounge as when the lounges are busy you may not get an appointment before it is time to catch your flight.

There is a good variety in the food section. There is the hot foods section which usually offers Indian, Asian and International fare. There is a separate area for salads and other cold snacks. And another section for desserts. There are a variety of soft drinks on offer and water, tea bags selection, coffee etc. There is also occasionally a live counter with the chef whipping up some tasty specialty dishes.

In a separate section, there is a full-service bar where one can order drinks. There are some munchies usually kept beside this section like lays, salted peanuts etc. The lounge is well-lit and kept extremely clean and any used plates are cleared by the staff quickly. The bathrooms are also very nicely maintained and clean. The general feeling I get in this lounge is that of calmness and relaxation. The decor, the general silence and peace in the lounge, the great food on offer and the occasional complimentary foot massage make it easily a space where one can spend a few hours at least. This lounge feels like a peaceful oasis in the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest airports in the world.

Overall it is always a pleasure to visit these lounges at the Mumbai International Airport.
